How I Cook the Perfect Poached Egg

Poached eggs are very tasty but a lot of people shy away from making them. The process is actually incredibly simple and I’ll explain how I make mine. 

Simply take a small or medium sauce pan and fill with about 3-4 inches of water. 

Bring the water to a boil.

Crack your egg into the water very carefully.

Keep the water at boiling temp. The key here is to watch until you see white foam forming. When it looks like the foam is about to spill over the top of the saucepan- lower water temp to a simmer.

Skim the white foam off of the water with a slotted spoon. Your egg is ready to remove from the water about 20 seconds after you complete this step.

And viola! You have a tasty poached egg!
